Job Description
American Fence is seeking an experienced spray painter to perform surface preparation and coating of aluminum. The ideal candidate would have experience working with different paint brands, and the processes involved in prepping for and applying them. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Knowledge of different paint brands, types, and mixing requirements.
Knowledge of different thinners, inhibitors, and their proper use and application
Familiar with regulations and procedures for handling and storage of flammable materials
The operation, maintenance, and use of paint spray equipment in a controlled (paint booth) environment, selection of spray gun nozzles for required coverage parameters
May examine finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications
Regulates spray gun and ventilates spray booth according to temperature and humidity requirements.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Painter/Finishing Specialist.
Preferred Experience:
Preferred 3-5 years’ experience.
Experience reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
Experience maintaining paint and painting equipment according to instructions and procedures.
